Tibetan Girls Camp 1-2 June 2019
PROPOSED PROGRAM FOR TIBETAN CHILDREN’S CAMP
 
1st and 2nd June 2019

Saturday 1st
Hired bus leaves from Dee Why at 8.30am (loading luggage at 8.00am)
Visit the Echo Point ‘Three Sisters” on the way to the Karuna Sanctuary
(Toilet break at Eastern Creek, Glenbrook)
At 12.15PM - Arrive at the Karuna Sanctuary for Welcome speech and Lunch
at the dining room followed by orientation.
Karina and Ronnie take them to the main hall to allocate room/bed.
Unpack and set up the bed
At 2.30pm - Gather in front of the prayer wheal. A bush walk will be guided
by Ronnie and Karina. On the way back to the dining room, collect small fallen
branches to prepare for the campfire at night. Malcolm will tell where to put
the branches.
At 3.30pm - Afternoon tea (drinks and snacks)
After the tea break, children move to the grass field. Ronnie is going to teach
how to play golf assisted by Karina.
At 4.30 - All come to the dining room and having a conversation with the Cultural
issue with Karina followed by indoor games or Origami making.
At 6.30pm - Dinner
After cleaning up the kitchen and dining room, Karina and Ronnie and all the adults
will escort children to the campfire site and start the fire. Everyone gets
marshmallow to cook in the fire.
At 8.30pm - Gather at the main hall for the reflection time of the day and enjoy
fun indoor games
At 9.30pm - Shower/clean teeth.
At 10.00pm - Switch off the light.


Sunday 7 th
At 8.00am - Breakfast at the dining room
After cleaning up the breakfast, move to the main hall, pack up and clean the
bedroom then take the luggage to the front of carriages. Only hand luggage carries
to the dining room.
At 9.45am - An introduction of meditation by Gueshe Tdunden and a short
meditation follows
At 10.30 - Morning tea

At 11am - Going to the grass field and continue to learn playing golf.
At 12.30pm – Lunch
Help cleaning up kitchen and tidy up the dining room after lunch
At 2.30pm - Gather at the first carriage front. A short farewell speech by Nara
then a stationary package as a Gift will be given to all the children.
At 2.55pm - Put the luggage in the bus and after taking the group photograph,
depart for Dee Why at 3.10pm.

Karuna Camp Ethics
1. No mobile phone games are allowed at all during the camp
2. No children are allowed to go off somewhere without adults
escort.
3. Must wear walking shoes for bush walking or playing golf.
4. Must fill filtered water in your own drinking bottle to carry
for the bush walking and for the golf playing.
