A very joyful consecration ceremony for the Karuna Buddha statue was conducted by Wangdrak Rinpoche on a Wednesday afternoon of a week long meditation retreat he led at the Karuna Sanctuary in March this year.
After cleansing the site with chanting and with powerful visualisations. Rinpoche invited the innumerable Buddhas of the universe to enter the statue, to become part of it and to make it a living focus of inspiration, protection and healing for people for all future time.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Rinpoche opened the gate of the Inner Sanctum, permitting the people attending to enter, to circle the statue and scatter rice grains as a blessing.
